FADARS Christmas Party February 2007

On Saturday 10th February 2007 we had the 2006 Xmas lunch.It was attended by the "usual suspects" :=) , those being, John G3GIE + Friend, Norman G4MHS, Stan G6ZNW, Denis G0SLJ + Zena, Pete G4EGQ + XYL, Barbara M3OJY, Don M3PQB, Paul 2E0AYY, Mick M3MPR, Tony + Anne G4IMP + G4RJZ, Alan G8KSD + XYL. Unfortunately, Norman our stalwart teamaker was unable to be with us. The set up at 17:30 went very well with many helpers arriving and all was in good order in record time. The table looked a treat as you may see in the photo's. Just before the meal, a toast was raised to Denis and Zena, congratulating them on their wedding. We also thanked, in his absense, Norman, without whom we would have to make our own tea and coffee at our meetings.

We tucked in at 16:30 to some wonderful food prepared by the fair hands of Anne and Tony and didn't really stop until we got to the coffee and chocolate mints. By then I don't think that anyone could have eaten a single morsel else. Everyone stayed for quite a while just chatting and enjoying the company of friends.

The clearing up was also accomplished in record time and everyone finally went home both replete and happy. A great evening enjoyed by all who attended. We shall be doing again next year, or should that be, this year!
